Everything you need to know about our experiential learning programs, daily schedules, and how we empower kids.
It's more than a summer camp and more than tutoring. Brave Coconut is an experiential learning program for kids who want to try, build, speak, and grow. It has the warmth and fun of camp, but the structure is built around hands-on learning.
We welcome children and teens from ages 3 to 18. We group them into five age-appropriate cohorts to match their developmental stages: Kiwi Cuties (Ages 3.5–6), Strawberry Squad (Age 7–9), Mango Mavericks (Age 10–12), Tangerine Titans (Age 13–15), and Coconut Crew (Age 16–18).
A typical day is packed with diverse activities! It includes blocks for Literacy & Academic Enrichment, STEM & Emerging Technology, and rotating blocks like Wellness, Creative Expression, or Leadership. We also feature a Daily Guest Speaker, dedicated physical activity time, and daily reflection.
Yes, lunch is provided daily by the GPS cafeteria vendor during our scheduled lunch break.
Our core daily programming runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Wrap-up, reflection, and dismissal happen between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM.
Groups are strictly organized by age and grade level to ensure age-appropriate challenges and peer support: Kiwi Cuties (Ages 3.5–6), Strawberry Squad (Age 7–9), Mango Mavericks (Age 10–12), Tangerine Titans (Age 13–15), and Coconut Crew (Age 16–18).
While we have dedicated blocks for Literacy, Academic Enrichment, and STEM, it does not feel like traditional school. Kids learn through project-based, hands-on experiences like robotics, game design, mock trials, and creative arts.
BraveCoconut is deeply welcoming for shy kids! Our Emotional Wellness and Leadership pillars are designed to help kids find their voice at a safe pace, using tools like daily check-ins, small group projects, and resilience activities.
You can sign up for one of our four summer sessions (running through June and July). Submit the interest form to select your preferred session, and we will reach out with the next steps.
We are located in Sacramento, CA (Specific venue details, including the GPS campus, are shared upon registration for safety).
